In the mood for Mood Boards

Hi, 

     I've  been recently creating mood-boards for my concept on sea life to help with my inspiration. The mood boards contain a variety of  colour ways which have inspired by the colour of sea  and it's animals . I've also been inspired by the textures of the sea creatures and hope to eliminate this  in my fashion.

Burberry - London Fashion Week

There seems to be a trend with artwork with fashion brands such as Channel, Celine  and appears Burberry were inspired by this to.Looking back on their collection , it was  more about improving on what they have  rather than trying bring something new to the table .  I really loved the use of painting splashed all over the infamous trench  coat  as well many other well known outfits .

My Grand Adventure in Soho

Recently, I went to Soho to pick some fabric samples for my project. I really enjoyed my time there and managed  to get so much out of it ,not just from  my fabric samples but the scenery, the people  and overall  the vibe . This place is truly a work of art!!

 plus it has great food too!

Designing Time

Hi All,
         Sorry If  I  have  been MIA recently , I just been so busy with Coursework and other stuff lately  for my new potentials designs . I've managed  to do a few sketches  with use of of various  fish prints and sea-like colour range .

Victoria Beckham - London Fashion week 2014

 It appeared to be  all about androgyny and punk-sophistication with Victoria Beckham as she showcased the used over-sized jackets , pocket chains attached  to dresses , but  to keep on trend there was the use of paint printed on the skirts. I really loved this runway  and thought Victoria did a great job , now if I could purchase one of the items , hmm ?

Flash back Chanel Catwalk- Under The Sea

To help with my inspriration , my teacher suggested I looked at chanel's runway to help truly understand the theme. Overall I really love this runway, as it's  more of a  mixture of both chanel's french chic design with a hint of mermaid .  Just by looking at the clothes, the proof is truly in the deisgn, as alot of the dresses has alot shapes and cuts which are just amazing . My only hang up however is the lack of color beacuse I feel karl could of really explored  as sea creatures come in so many beautiful colors and textures.
